Fabricating the intake adapter.
A good chunk of aluminum in the lathe.
This is the half finished intake adapter, just checking so it really fits before I finish it and try to give it a better finish.

Update on my 1969 husqvarna 400
I finally found a nice set of front forks, new seals installed and new paint on the lower legs.
The old set had the lower legs machined down and had some damage on the chrome.

Exhaust routing.
The jury is still out on the question of single or dual exhausts.
I personally think it would be cool to run a dual setup, but it will be way easier the find side panels for a single silencer and cheaper. Also the bike will be way wide and heavier with duals.
Single it is, for now..
